Oxeman, 1787—1865) syntyi Kontiolahdella. Hän oli majuri ja suomalainen näytelmäkirjailija. Lagervallin vanhemmat olivat Kontiolahden kappalainen Fredrik Johan Oxman ja Hedvig Katharina Brusin. Lagervall otti osaa Suomen sotaan kersanttina vuosina 1808—1809 ja julkaisi sodasta muistelmateoksen <em>En Karelsk jägares sorgliga minnen</em>. Hänen kirjoittamansa näytelmä <em>Ruunulinna</em> (1834), joka on mukaelma Shakespearen Macbethista, on ensimmäinen suomenkielinen murhenäytelmä. Lagervall on varhaisin pohjoiskarjalainen kirjailija.<br /><br />Lagerwall avioitui vuonna 1815 Sortavalan kollegioasessori Carl Tawastin tyttären Anna Catharina Tawastin (1778—1858) kanssa.
