Kuvan oikeassa reunassa olevassa Soimanpohjan talossa toimi Lammin posti 1940-luvun loppupuolelle asti. Sen vieressä näkyvän tornillisen talon rakennutti kauppias Peltolehto 1800-luvun lopulla. Lammin osuuskauppa vuokrasi Hilda Peltolehdolta huoneiston tästä talosta. Tilat kunnostettiin kahvilaa varten, ja kahvila avattiin keväällä 1934. Vielä samana syksynä kahvilan yhteyteen avattiin myös ruokala. Osuuskaupan kahvila-ruokala toimi Peltolehdon talossa kuusitoista vuotta aina vuoden 1950 loppuun asti. Samassa talossa oli 1940-luvulla myös matkahuolto, jonka tehtävät osuuskauppa otti hoitaakseen todennäköisesti jatkosodan aikana. Vuosina 1934–1948 osuuskaupalla oli talossa myös parturiliike. Peltolehdon talon takana pääty tielle päin on yksi kelloseppä Ruoppilan rakennuksista. Sekä Ruoppilan että Peltolehdon talot ovat edelleen olemassa Lamminraitin varrella. Ruoppilan talossa on toiminut mm. Lammin kunnankirjasto vuosina 1937–1950. Vastapäisessä vaaleassa talossa sijaitsi Lammin apteekki yli viidenkymmenen vuoden ajan. Lammilla apteekin toiminta alkoi pienimuotoisesti, ruokakauppaan sijoitetun lääkelaatikon turvin. Peltolehdon perikunta myi talon 1950-luvun alussa Lammin kunnalle, minkä jälkeen torniosa purettiin. Tämän jälkeen talossa on ollut mm. kirjaston ja kansalaisopiston tiloja. Kuvan vasemmassa reunassa on nahkuri Malmbergin talo, jossa oli 1800-luvun loppupuolella Juho Nurmisen kauppa. Nurminen luovutti kaupan vuonna 1902 pitkäaikaiselle apulaiselleen Kyösti Salolle, mutta vuonna 1910 liike ei enää ollut toiminnassa. Lopulta selvisi, että navetta ei itse asiassa sijainnutkaan tontilla vaan sen ulkopuolella, jolloin se saatiin kaupungin toimesta purettua. Kaupunki halusi samalla myös Berghin entisen tontin viereisen tontin haltuunsa. Tontin omisti apteekkari Stenius, ja kaupunki olisi tahtonut lunastaa häneltä sen osan tontista, joka ulottui kirkkopuistoon. Lunastettavalla tontilla sijaitsi kuitenkin apteekkitoiminnalle välttämätön kellari, ja tämän seikan perusteella senaatti hyväksyi Steniuksen valituksen. Senaatti myös määräsi, että kyseessä olevaa osaa ei saa erottaa tontista niin kauan, kuin tontilla olevassa talossa harjoitetaan apteekkiliikettä.
