Title A name given to the resource Pukkilan kotiseutumuseo Description An account of the resource Nykyisin Koivulinnan pihapiirissä toimiva Pukkilan kotiseutumuseo perustettiin alunperin kirkon vieressä olevaan entiseen viljamakasiiniin. Toiminnan käynnistämisestä vastasi Pukkilan museoyhdistys. Sen perustava kokous, jonka Einar Simolinna oli kutsunut koolle, pidettiin 7. kesäkuuta 1953. Museoyhdistys kunnosti ensitöikseen Pukkilan manttaalikunnan vuonna 1951 lahjoittaman entisen viljamakasiinin. Esinekeräyksen yhdisti käynnisti vuonna 1955. Vuodesta 1963 lähtien museoon pääsi tutustumaan kesäsunnuntaisin. Ensimmäisenä valvojana toimi suntio Viljami Kuosmanen, jonka jälkeen tehtävän otti hoitaakseen suntio Eero Lilja yhdessä puolisonsa Annikki Liljan kanssa. Museoyhdistyksen tehtävät siirtyivät kunnalle vuonna 1969. Vuonna 1995 Einar Simolinnan tytär Hannele Peusa teki kunnalle lahjoituksen, jonka avulla käynnistettiin museon siirtäminen Galleria Koivulinnan piharakennuksiin. Uusien museotilojen avajaisia vietettiin 11. elokuuta 1996. Pukkilan kotiseutumuseolla olevien vanhojen valokuvien lisäksi tässä kokoelmassa esitellään Pertti Mäkelän museosta ja sen esineistöstä ottamia valokuvia.
