Hämeenlinna oli suurin kaupungin laivarekisteriin merkitty alus, peräti 28 metriä pitkä. Tämä "Hämeenlinnan ylpeys laivaliikenteen alalla" liikennöi Hämeenlinna–Pälkäne–Aitoo-reitillä vuosina 1925–1929. Paikallinen höyrylaivaosakeyhtiö omisti lisäksi pienemmät Laine- ja Roine-nimiset höyryveneet, jotka liikennöivät Lahdentaan ja Hauhon reiteillä. Yksityshenkilöiden omistamat pienet höyryveneet, mm.
